I swear, I have some crazy, crazy dreams.

The latest one I can remember is Ron and I attended Roller Derby in a different state. A Boston Derby Dames regular was doing the announcing and this bout took place in a school gymnasium. She recognized us and we talked for a while. I joined her briefly in the rafters above where she was calling the bout from and the platform she was perched on was a shitty piece of particle board. Not being particularly fond of heights I didn't minger long.

As I was coming donw fromt he rafters I saw Mick Jagger arriving to watch the bout. So did everyone else in the audience and a riot broke out. The announcer was frantically trying to calm people down and suddenly everything settled down and the bout resumed. I looked up into the bleachers and saw that the audience was made up of the entire staff of the library I work for.

After the bout the woman who was the announcer found me and asked me to go to the after party. She asked me in a way that made her intentions quite clear and I told her "sorry, but we are both married" ('cause she can do that here in Mass) and she said "my wife and I have an understanding." And I said as I grabbed Ron "this is my husband, and we don't" and we walked away.

Coming Up for Air

I am actually looking forward to going to work today. Really.
We had a busy weekend and it will be nice to sit at my desk doing something mindless for a few hours while preparing for the rest of this week.

We got in some quality visiting time this weekend with alot of great folks, but we didn't get a whole lot of sleep and today I'm feeling it. I am supposed to be cleaning the house right now and I just don't want to.

We saw Heather and Therese Friday night then went out to dinner with Kenny & Carol afterwards. Heather is moving to San Diego and who knows when I'll see her again. We met a realtor on Saturday and I'll talk about that when there is more to tell, but we did look at some places yesterday that are promising.

We hung out with Dwaine and his wife Betsy and their two children Collin and Aaron Saturday night. It was a great visit that was long overdue. And last night we hung out with Fraser and his woman Shannon. Another visit that was long overdue but not as overdue as hangin' with Dwaine & Crew. I fell asleep on Fraser's couch.

And now I am procrastinating. I just woke up and I intend to attack a room today so our company this weekend has a place to sleep. I feel wicked fuzzy and need caffeine...

Next weekend is busy, but it's long and we'll take it slow... come to think of it we have plans for the next four weekends. Hooo boy! It's great to be busy, but right now all I want to do is sleep.

Fabric Place in Framingham Closing!

It's true... I heard a rumor of this a week or so ago but it has now been confirmed. The Fabric Place in Framingham is closing at the end of the month. The place has been a fixture in Framingham, nay, New England since, well.... a really long, long time.

While I always thought their customer service SUCKED, this was the best place to find anything related to sewing. If it existed, they had it. It's one of the best, nay, ONLY reasons to visit downtown Framingham. My mother may never recover.

Don't know how late I'm going to be out tonight so I am posting something now. I hope we aren't out too late cause we have a busy weekend planned and we need sleep.

However I don't have a whole lot to say... or rather, I have alot to say but don't know where to begin. Nothing exciting, really... this is another dull as dirt post isn't it?

Welcome to my overtired, lame-ass, I got nuthin', PMSing, how long 'til the weekend post. I've been flying at crank facter twelve, mostly at work, so far this week and I know I'm not alone. Is it me? Is it work? Is it hormones? Is it the moon? Fuck if I know.

Nothing really happened today, I didn't work on any photos tonight and I watched a couple of hours of really bad television. I watched Project fucking Runway for chrissakes! It was an episode featuring drag queens with RuPaul as a judge, so I think I can be forgiven for stooping so low. I am convinced Heidi Klum is most attractive when she keeps her mouth shut though.


And I can explain watching Shear Genius as well... you see, they were styling hair for a photo shoot with Michael Grecco and I really like his work so I HAD to watch it... that and there was nothing else on and I couldn't be bothered to get my ass off the couch until now. Yeah, I watched crap TV, yeah I feel dirty and no I don't care. If you don't like it go Google "cake farts" for all I care. Actually, no, don't do that. BAD IDEA. So bad I won't even link to that... just DON'T DO IT. Especially if there are kids within a mile of you. Really. I warned you. I'm a bad person for even suggesting that.

It's been a weird day for no particular reason... just sort of odd. Not bad, but nothin' special, y'know? So for lack of anything interesting to say (not that that has stopped me before) I give you a funny picture to ponder. Enjoy!

And We're Back!

Spent the day driving back from Canada and boy are we pooped! The mission was a complete success. We surprised the hell out of Ron's Dad for his 70th birthday yesterday!

And we learned of a new tasty junk food called a donair. Ron liked it... I thought it was a little weird. Ron called it Magical Maritime Mystery Meat and I'll let him tell you all about it sometime. Give me poutine anytime, but I can do without the artery clogging processed grease puppies covered in something resembling moose semen.

Where in the world is Kris & Ron now?

With any luck we are driving home from St. John, New Brunswick. I didn't want to mention it here before because it was a surprise visit. Ron's father turned 70 years old this past week his parents planned their annual trip to Canada during this week.

Instead of trying to plan a surprise birthday party around the unpredictable travel plans of retiree's we decided to plan a quick trip to Canada around the unpredictable travel plans of retiree's and surprise the hell out of them. Did we pull it off? Stay tuned to see how we did in the surprise department!

What Did You Do Last Weekend? Part One

I love this dress. Ron's mother bought it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago and I wore it to Bill & Amanda's wedding. I haven't had an occasion to wear something this formal since so I have decided to photograph myself in it in strange situations. Not every day mind you, but I figure I ought to wear it while it still fits or until it's wrecked, so every once in a while as the mood takes me.

I am once again working on photos from Scotland. There's alot of them, but it's about damn time I finished them. Stay tuned!

There is yet another thunderstorm rolling in as I type this. I would say we have had pretty terrible random thunderstorms almost everyday since mid-June. This one sounds like it is winding up to be a doozy. This is my cue to go to bed and hide under the covers.

I have a sneaky suspicion I have posted this before, but I'm feeling tired and lazy tonight so here it is again. Maybe. I had such a crush on Wil Wheaton when I was 14 years old...

Just spent the last half an hour dumpster diving for something quick to post tonight because I'm tired and feel like crap and I just want to go to bed. I realize if I had just written something fast I could be in bed by now... So here I am typing away.

These summer colds will just suck the life out of you... I really should go to bed.

Not much to say tonight... I am sick. AGAIN. I hope this doesn't turn into bronchitis.

We are going away again next weekend so I must get better quickly. This won't be a sit on my ass weekend though... this one involves lots of driving and some endurance... it's a surprise and since nothing on the web is ever truly private I won't say where we are going until later... at the very least I don't want to jinx the surprise.

Ron made me the most wonderful spicy chicken soup for dinner and to aid my recovery. I feel better already!

I am back from my weekend away and I have posts to post. However I am now sick and should be in bed right now. I will post them tomorrow.

I have to get better before going away again next weekend. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't let this turn into bronchitis.

Maine

Welcome to the Girls Only Weekend in Maine!

The weather isn't quite what we had hoped so we have laid low for most of the weekend. I didn't take alot of photos because I didn't want to wander too far from the house with sudden thunderstorms threatening. I did manage to get a self portrait of myself jumping in the lake while wearing an evening gown, which I will post soon.

So we chilled out and relaxed, watched movies and drank like frat boys. I think a good time was had by all.

Last night we had a lovely dinner with "Lil" Dave Williamson, his sister Rhea and her partner Kim. We went to the Oceanaire Seafood Room and despite being allergic to almost 90% of the menu I had a great time. Even though it's almost sacrilige to not order seafood in a seafood restaurant I had one of the best steaks I have ever had and would go there again just to have another.
