God Gives Me The Bird

I almost forgot to post this rather traumatic event that happened to me today... well, yesterday if you want to get technical about it.

I went out to my car to head to work as usual, open the door, throw my purse onto the passenger seat, sit down and close the door. Nothing unusual or traumatic about that, right?

Then a FUCKING BIRD flew up into my face and flapped frantically all over the inside of my car.

Yes a bird was IN my car. In my fucking car! How the hell did a fucking bird get in my fucking car? I have no idea. All the windows were closed... hell, two of my windows don't even work.

Needless to say I screamed and jumped right on out of my car and open as many doors as I could as quickly as I could so the damn thing would fly out, which thankfully it did quickly. It was one of those little brownish gray numbers and I thought it was a bat at first.

I wonder if it was in the car all night? My car is messy enough that it probably ate quite well and now that I think about it there may be a pile of poop somewhere yet to be discovered. Won't that be fun to find?

I'm just glad it didn't fly up in my face as I was driving. A bird in the house is said to be bad luck... what does it mean if it's in your car?

Okay, all you film nerds, guess what film this is sampled from before it ends!

Hello!

SHIT.

So today I was rushing to get out of the house in time to go to the bank and get to work on time. It was my late day so this means out by noon to run this little errand before the daily drudgery. It's 11:55 and I am still in my bathrobe, but my hair and make-up is down, I have a bagel ready to go and I know where my purse and keys are. I just have to throw on some clothes and boogie out the door.

I go to Ron's side of the bed to turn off the radio before donning my pants and step in a puddle. I look down and see a very large pool of water seeping from the wall next to the bed. The laundry room is on the other side of the wall. It is now 11:56.

SHIT.

I run around to the other side, still wearing nothing but a bathrobe to see a pool of water on teh far side of the laundry room eminating from the corner holding the hot water heater.

SHIT.

There are about a ozen or so boxes of comic book boxes in the path of this water.

SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT.

I yell upstairs to Ron's parents about it, run to the bedroom, launch myself into some clothes and proceed to remove everything from the laundry room with Ron's parents. My back is very angry with me right now for this.

I did not make it to work on time, nor did I make it to the bank but the good news is not a single comic book was lost! Four boxes got wet but the water hadn't seeped all the way through yet. Ron's dad said I caught it "just in time."

And now I look forward to a very cold shower in the morning. If I didn't need to wash my hair so badly I wouldn't bother... hell, I still may not bother. Either way you'll either read about it here or smell me coming a mile away!

I was going through all of the YouTube videos I had bookmarked over the last year or so and about half of them have been pulled for terms of service violations. Some of them were downright hilarious and they will be sorely missed. Before the rest get pulled for one reason or another I thought I'd start posting these, and continue to post them every couple of days for the rest of the month. Dreams

The weird dreams have sprouted again... had some truly weird ones recently, but alas, they are often fleeting things. This morning I dreamt I heard someone mowing the lawn. I woke up fully expecting it to be warm out and was disappointed to see still see snow in the backyard. But warm weather brings bugs and allergies so I might as well enjoy the sunshine no matter when it occurs.

First Post From My New Computer

So after having this spiffy new machine for several months now I am starting to move shit onto it. I was so wrapped up in getting caught up I was still using the old computer but now I am diving head first into this new beast. This may slow down my progress int he catching up department, but will hopefully make thing runs faster even thpugh I do not.

My mom came home from the hospital today and I hear she is doing well. Angie says she was outside shoveling the driveway... okay, she was kidding, but we have a weird sense of humor in this family.

Not much else to report right now... it's been a hell of a month of ups and downs! Here's to March being a tad calmer!
