Testing....

Howdy Y'all!
I'm just taking a moment to reacquaint myself with blogging from my laptop. I am beginning the final stretch of preparing to leave for Scotland. All kinds of do-dads and whiz bangs have been purchased, now to pick up meds and toiletries, find some new comfy clothes for Ron. I want to clean up the house some before we go so we don't come home to a big mess. Surprisingly things are in pretty good shape since I did the big clean for the baby shower.

Ants. We have ants. This happens almost every year... I have killed 8 of them so far today. I don't like bugs, but ants I can deal with.

Big Freakin' Update!

WOW.
That's really all that can be said for the last few days... weeks... time is a blur these days. I am amazed at everything that got done, and there is still more yet to do. To make a long story short, we've been really fucking busy. And I am pooped.

It's been a wild couple of weeks! Baby got showered, weddings got blessed, anniversarys have been celebrated, houses got cleaned, meat got grilled, shopping got done, birthday cake got snarfed, and homework got finished. Now on to personal photo projects and packing for Scotland!

John left this morning and is probably sitting in some uncomfortable airport lounge chair as I type this. Cal & Kara are on their honeymoon and Dany is recovering from her birthday festivities. Ah, to have the energy of a 3 year old! We caught up with some old friends at Cal & Kara's wedding this weekend too. I also determined that I don't want to be an event photographer.

I also had a birthday this weekend. A big one. At least, I think it's a big one. I turned 35 yesterday. I have started a year-long self portrait project to celebrate. There were alot of other birthdays this weekend too. Happy birthday to Sarah, Mimi, Erin, Yanni and Dany too! Carlos, Steven and Tyler have birthdays soon too! There's a whole lot of foolin' around going on in September!

I could go on and on... but I have photos to sort, and I intend on working onthem for the next couple hours before going to work. I amd slowly getting caught up and you can view the latest I have posted HERE. I plan on being caught up before our trip. Really.

I have class this weekend and then I think we need to have some time to ourselves for a day or so before we leave the country. I don't know if this will be possible though because there is still much to do. I wonder were we can hide from the world this weekend... or maybe we'll just lock our doors, draw the shades and not answer our phone. That could be nice. Oh wait... we have to get rid of the upstairs people for that to work. Maybe they'll go to Maine? *rubs lamp*

Really Random Update

Happy Fathers Day to all you Dad's out there!

We have spent the last couple of days cleaning and cleaning and cleaning! My house is VERY clean right now. Let's see how long that lasts. John arrived from California Friday evening and headed right on out to Vermont the next day. We'll see him again later in the week.

Today we hosted a baby shower for our new niece Shae. My mom and sister provided most of the food and we provided the location and dessert. It wasn't a huge crowd, but after all the cleaning and entertaining we are T-I-R-E-D. Tonight I plan on just sitting on my ass and doing a whole lot of nuthin'.

Next weekend will be a busy one as well, and then after that it's all about preparing to go to Scotland. And I hope to be completely caught up on my photos before we go. I've been slackin' in the photo department BIGTIME lately and I don't want to be anymore behind than I will be by missing school as it is. Boy, it's going to be a busy summer.

Here Comes D Day!

Can you believe it? Dany's going to be 3 years old in 10 days! See HERE for details. And I am going to be... um... older myself in 9 days.

Random Update

I will be starting a year long and rather ambitious photo project in ten days... stay tuned!

In other news, I have been crazy busy! John is coming for a visit Friday night, I am hosting a baby shower for my lovely new niece on Sunday, trying to keep up with work and school and personal projects and get ready to go to Scotland. I'm betting I won't be able to post much from there, but boy, oh boy will there be stories to tell after! It would be hard NOT to have stories after this one.

I am procrastinating this morning... bigtime. I have to leave for work early to run errands on the way and I haven't even showered yet.

I really need a weekend off to just catch up on photos as well... *sigh*

Models Still Wanted!

Models needed for this weeks Portaitrature classes on Tuesday and Thursday from about 7-9pm. You can pop in for a half an hour or stay for the whole class.
