Full Story HERE.

Daily Snort

From Ron:

NEW YORK - A public school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy International Airpor tas he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule and a calculator.

At a morning press conference, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction.

"Al-gebra is a problem for us," Gonzales said. "They desire solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search of absolute value. They use secret code names like 'x' and 'y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'There are three sides to every triangle'."

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes." White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the president.

One Year Ago This Week...

...Angrylittlebitch got its facelift!
Remember what this place USED to look like? A big improvement if you ask me.

And speaking of face lifts... I have tweaked the right hand column some, removed some dead links and added a few new ones. I also finally put things in alphabetical order, with a few notable exceptions. Ron is always #1 in my book so he gets to be at the top of the list. I put my Found Photos at the end... I may make a separate section someday for my little side projects, but for now, to the bottom it goes.

If you haven't updated your blog in a while... like 6 months or more, it has been removed from the list. Let me know if you start updating again, or get a new blog and I'll put ye right back on there. Also, if you are on there and don't want to be (but why wouldn't you?) let me know and I'll take you off. You'll hurt my feelings and I'll miss you, but I will do it. ;-)

And now you are sick just from reading this.

So yeah... I am sick. Stuffed up and miserable I am.
I even wrote bad poetry about it:

chills, stuffiness, head swells
sinuses say I am being punished

phlegm fills me
like no other... i am full.

my brain no longer fits
inside my excuse for a skull

pounding, dripping misery
throbs mightily towards sleep

boogers slide merrily
down the slippery slope
of breath

mucus invades me
pushing ever outward
into a paper cloud

germs breed and grow
into pretty little starfish
and swim with glee

Ha!

God Bless Weird Al Yankovic!

It's Official...

I am sick.
I don't seem to be sick to the extent that Ron was, but I've got a real nasty head cold. Dayquil is my friend.

I Want To Feel You From The Inside...

THIS is the funniest damn thing I have seen in a long, long time. You will have to join YouTube to see it to confirm you are over 18 years of age, but believe me, it's worth it. Star Trek fans and Nine Inch Nails fans will piss themselves.

Artist of The Week!

This weeks Artist of The Week is Loreena McKennitt!
I don't believe I have featured a musician here before... correct me if I am wrong. I love Loreena's music and have for a long time. It was recently brought to my attention that she has a new album coming out... her first since around 1998! I am now eagerly awaiting this new treasure and I hope you will take the time to discover her music if you haven't already.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart makes...

Because I don't have enough dreams of my own...
You can now buy them.

Actually, it is rather brilliant now that I think about it.

File Under: APPALLED

THIS really cooks my noodle, and it puts the angry back in angrylittlebitch.

A Spoonful of Shatner Helps the Medicine Go Down.... or does it?

I am obviously feeling better since I was able to handle most of THIS without my headache returning.

Who's afraid of a wee little brown recluse spider infestion?

THIS is enough to scare the shit out of me.

If I had a kid going to that school I'd keep them home. Haven't these people ever seen what a brown recluse spider bite can do to you? (warning that last link is N-A-S-T-Y)

I fucking hate spiders... if it has more legs than a dog I don't want anything to do with it.

Bleh....

Headache has subsided some... I am keeping most of the lights off and it's very quiet here today. I slept until noon... hopefully that is all I needed. I went to bed early last night as well. I should also eat something, but I am surprisingly not hungry. Is this how Ron's plague is manifesting itself in me? As long as it doesn't settle in my lungs it can do whatever it likes. I mean that.

As some of you know I tend to get sick with Bronchitis almost every October and May... something about the change in the seasons that just lays into me. Last year I got lucky. Bronchitis sucks and it is hard to type so I really, really, really, don't want to get it this year, or ever again for that matter.

So pardon me if this place is more whinylittlebitch than angrylittlebitch. I don't feel good and I want my blankie.

Happy Autumnal Equinox!

Happy First Day of Fall folks!

It also happens to be the second day in a row I have woken up with a migraine. If I hadn't started this post yesterday with all the Fall colors I wouldn't be here right now. I am now going back to bed.

In Honor of Talk Like A Pirate Day

And I gleefully plundered THIS from Velma. Arrrrr!!!!!

Tuesday, September 19, 2006

Arrrr!

It's Talk Like a Pirate Day today!

I've got a feelin' in me bones...

I've only been awake for a half an hour and I have a feeling today is going to be a bad day. I feel like ass. I'm not sure if I'm finally getting Ron's plague or if this is just my usual moodiness creeping up on me.

After going to the craft fair the other day I now have this urge, nay NEED, to make something... to do something with my hands. I am also dying to try THIS. My desk is a mess. I have other projects to finish before I start something new. I have schoolwork to keep up with. And reading to um.... read.

So why the hell am I sitting here like a lump in my bathrobe blogging when I should be doing something?

Hmmm... this smells like moodiness not sickness. Or maybe I forgot to flush?

I know many of you have seen this CLASSIC QVC FOOTAGE before, but it makes me laugh every time I see it. File under "dumbass"

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

Yesterday was lovely! I had brunch with an old friend then we ventured out for a few hours to the stART On The Street Fair in Worcester. Ron felt okay for a little while, and we both started to get VERY overheated so we went home shortly after 3pm.

I bought one of
THESE from The Gravestone Girls. And the women who made my favorite necklace where there too! (Guess which one I own?) I also bought a card with an old anatomical diagram of a human heart on it from THIS GAL.

The foot traffic was amazing and Kenny & Carol didn't appear to have more than a moment to breathe before some was asking them about one of their photos. I would definately consider doing this fair in the coming years, provided the booth rates remained good.

I didn't shoot many pictures while there... I had my hands full keeping hydrated and looking at all the cool stuff. What few photos I did take will be on Flickr someday I'm sure.

We are venturing out!

It's a fine day and Ron is feeling better. We seem to be in the eye of the sickness hurricane... that brief quiet moment between Ron being sick and me eventually getting whatever he's got. We are venturing out to spread our germs in Worcester today at the stART On THe Street Fair where Kenny is selling his photos. Hope to see y'all there!

A Treasure Trove of Locked in Freshness!

Sickness is still afoot...

Well Bill is officially one of us old folk now! I went out to Framingham solo this evening to wish him well while Ron slept. He's still feeling like crud and it doesn't look like he'll be feeling better soon, but I'll keep y'all posted. Bill is fine, despite this evenings beer intake.

Did you know that this weekend is also Halfway to St. Patrick's Day? I have a Guinness beer cozy to prove it.

The differences between a Mac and a PC

I am still trying to wrap my head around how to use this shiny new thing called a Mac. The differences are many and confusing, yet similiar enough to confuse me further. Basicly, I am easily confused.

One of the differences appears to be that I can't do all of the neato editing tricks and fruity colors on my blog that I am so darn fond of and when I blog with the Mac it looks like this entry. Boring. Anyone got any tips for me?

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Bill

Happy 30th Birthday to Bill!
Come help us celebrate a Bennigan's on Route 9 in Framingham TONIGHT!

Random Notes

Ron is sick and has been for the last three days. He's miserable. I'll probably get it just in time for the weekend. I am letting myself sleep as long as I wish, keeping myself hydrated and washing my hands all the time in an attempt to not get this nasty fall cold, or whatever it is. depending on how he feels, or I feel for that matter, we may be staying close to home this weekend.

The Big Update!

The last few days have been a blast!
Friday I spent the afternoon hanging out with an old friend from my bookstore days, Amy, and her adorable son Nathan. We spent a lovely afternoon walking around the grounds of Hammond Castle taking pictures and catching up on old times.

Saturday I had school, and while there we went to the
Charles River Museum of Industry to take pictures. What a fabulous place! All kinds of things to look at and photograph. I can't wait to go back there! Unfortunately I also threw out my back while there... I made the mistake of lifting all of my gear at once without watching my posture and TWANG! I fucked up my back... I took some pain meds and worked through the pain and used my heated seats while driving for the rest of the weekend and now I seem to be okay... not great but okay. Of course it also helped that I drank myself slightly stupid later in the evening.

Saturday night we saw
Doug Stanhope at Ralph's Chadwick Square Diner in Worcester and gosh darn it, I think I like that joint. Opening for Stanhope was The Steamy Bohemiams, A naked comedian, a man who layed down on the stage and women in the audience were called upon to stand on him all at once. About 15 women total managed to stand on him all at once... I stood on his hand. There was also a comedy band called Robbie Roadsteamer and they played songs such as "I'm sorry your cat has ass cancer" and "I put a baby in you"

We hung around the club and talked with Roadsteamer band mambers and the lovely, lively and very bald
Bingo. Bingo is Doug Stanhopes girlfiend? housemate? traveling companion? all of the above? I'm not sure... I am also not sure what chemicals she was ingesting that evening, but whatever it was, it works for her! A pure delight she is!

Speaking of chemical indulgences... let me tell you about Holly and the Dude Crew. Drugs do not work at all for these folks. This chick Holly, or maybe it was Molly asks if the seat next to us is taken, and no it was not so we offered it to her. Then she askes me if I have a tampon I could spare... I didn't. Then her whitecap* boyfriend comes over and starts talking... before you know it he's going all dude on us. Y'know... Dude! Whatcha drinkin'! Dude, dude, dude.

Well then his buddies show up and one of them has a birthday that evening and Holly/Molly says "We're gonna tell this guy Stanhope it's Jimmy's birthday and we're gonna say his last name is Crackcorn" Yeah, this broad was oozing class. Various members of this crew kept ducking outside for a cigarette and before we know it we are "saving their spots" for the whole crew. By the way... these guys took a cab from South Boston to Worcester to to get to this show and they didn't even know who Doug Stanhope was!

During our odd conversation with these people I ended up showing them my funky ring that turns into knuckles and looks sort of like THIS ONE and the boyfriend says to me "It's a felony to have that". Later that evening they all disappear on us and come back and tell us how one of the opening comedians fingered them for doing coke in the bathroom and I thought that this asshole was telling me my jewelry was illegal and he just put a weeks pay up his nose? Lovely.

Eventually they worked their way up to the front row and pulled their little Jimmy Crackcorn stunt, then when Stanhope launched into a bit about immigrants (my memory may be hazy about the exact subject matter) Holly/Molly and her little coke posse left.

So after hanging out and talking to Bingo a woman approaches us and asks us if we happen to be heading east after the show. Apparently she got abandoned and had to get home to Somerville somehow. It was almost 2am. So being the nice people we are we gave her a ride home, and amazingly I did not get us lost in Cambridge. We also did not get home until almost 4am. Now that I am writing this out I am also remembering that she did not offer us any money for gas.

Sunday we slept in some then dragged our sorry asses out to The Brimfield Fair. On our way there we saw this strange object fly over the highway and at first I thought it was some sort of bizarre kite. Then it turned. It was a stealth bomber! I never in a million years ever expected to see one of these for real, never mind in the sky over where I was driving. I am guessing it had something to do with the former leader of Iran speaking at Harvard, but I don't know that for a fact. I'll let you conspiracy theorists out there work that one out.

Brimfield was a blast! My friend Therese from work was there selling kettle corn. I had no idea she was going to be there and Ron discovered that kettle corn is a great hangover cure. Check out their website HERE. Sarah from school joined us and we took tons of pictures. I almost bought a monkey skull.

All told it was a great, if exhausting, weekend. Now it's back to the real world and work! I am once again woefully behind on pictures, but I'll be getting them up as soon as I can... you can be sure of it!

Happy Birthday

01 January - Carrie plays with Carols toys
Happy Birthday to Carrie!
With that sword she kicks more ass than Chuck Norris.

Thanks for that parking spot Mr. Stanhope...

...you had to be there to get that joke.

It's 3:44 am...
We are just getting home from a very cool evening out in Worcester at Ralph's Chadwick Diner seeing Doug Stanhope, meeting the beautiful, bald, oh-so-high-as-a-kite yet ballerina-esque babe known as Bingo, and being pleasantly surprised by the likes of Robbie Roadsteamer. Then we did our good deed of the week and gave stranded Somerville resident Robin a ride home.

Oh yeah, we also saw a comedian who not only performed naked, but had the smallest penis I had ever seen. He called it "fun-sized" And saw the lovely ladies of Jerkus Circus... very entertaing broads they are.

Overall a great night... now off to sleep and hopefully I'll be in good enough shape to hit the Brimfield Fair tomorrow.

I'll tell you all about school and me fuckin' up my back tomorrow... right now I can't feel a thing and that's good.

Artist of the week may be delayed... sorry.

Random Update in Pretty Colors!

Just a quick post to let y'all know whats going on in our lives...

We've been busy, and getting busier... our dance cards are pretty full for the next couple of weekends, but we'll try and come up for air every once in a while. If it feels like we've been neglecting you it hasn't been on purpose.

After today I am on a "working vacation" until next Tuesday. I still have classes to attend and I intend on getting my ass out of bed bright and early to catch up on photos, learning computer stuff and picking away at those infamous long overdue projects.

This Friday September 8 there is a free student film screening at the Embassy Theatre in Waltham at 11am. It's early, but if you are off that day this is a free event and there are tons of excellent restaurants in the area for lunch after. I will probably not be attending, but don't let that stop you.

Saturday evening, September 9 we will be out in Worcester to see Doug Stanhope. I don't know if tickets are still available, but if any of you like Bill Hicks you will probably dig this guy. It would be nice to see y'all there. Check for tix HERE.

This week is Brimfield Fair Week! We are going Sunday the 10th to hunt down interesting photographs, eat boiled hotdogs, and perhaps pick up the odd bargain or two.

Friday September 15th my brother Bill is turning 30! Come on out to Bennigan's on Route 9 in Framingham after 8pm to celebrate with us that night. The more the merrier! If there is enough of us we can take over the bar, which of course is the first step in taking over the world.

I know Ron is itching, nay, DYING to try out his new bass with the guys so I have a feeling we will be busy Saturday the 16th. There are a few more birthdays that will need toasting by then as well... I'll bring the Mikearitas!

Sunday September 17th is Worcester's stArt On The Street Festival. After brunch with a friend we will be heading over to this to see funky arts & crafts, street performances and Kenny! He will be displaying and selling his photographs there. Come on out and say hi!

Throw in some museum visiting to feed the soul, photographing friends, photographing a wedding and a work related party or two and it's going to be a busy couple of weeks. I'm sure I'll tell you all about it later... stay tuned!

Update on Paris Hilton

HERE is a video showing how Banksy pulled off his brilliant punking of Paris Hilton. And of course it didn't take long for these to show up on eBay.

Photos on flickr are HERE.

By Crikey Indeed!

Wildlife Animal star Steve Irwin killed by "fatal stingray barb to his heart."

Can you say ouch?
As sad as this is I must say I am not surprised... something like this was bound to happen eventually to the man who brought his infant son into a crocodile pen. If you are a crocodile, baby=lunch. But a stingray barb though the heart? That's gruesome even for me.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Carol!
Carol is 106 years old today... okay not really, but I must not reveal the truth or I risk the pain of extreme wedgies.

Dooooooomed!!!!!!!

10,000 reasons civilization as we know it is doomed.

Artist of the Week

This weeks Artist of The Week is John Jude Palencar.

You can see his work gracing the covers of many, many books. Unfortunately he doesn't appear to have a website of his own... the closest I have found to an "official" website is HERE and it doesn't show any pictures. I recommend looking HERE for more examples of his beautiful work... (gotta love Google, eh?) or watch for his art the next time you visit a bookstore. There is a wikipedia entry on him too.

He did the covers for the Mists of Avalon books, and lots of Charles de Lint books, as well as the covers for the Eragon books. I have long admired his work, and I am a little disappointed that he doesn't have more of an online presence than he does. I leave it to you to discover his fine work in your travels.

This guy makes me wish I could paint.

Brilliant!

Street artist Banksy (featured here a few short weeks ago) has tampered with about 500 of Paris Hiltons new Album! Full article HERE!

Thanks Carrie!
