Artist of The Week!

This weeks Artist of The Week is
Viggo Mortensen!
And don't tell me y'all didn't see this one coming. You knew I would get around to him at some point. Viggo Mortensen is a modern renaissance man. He's a photographer, painter, actor, poet and musician. I have had friends say to me that no one would care who he is if he wasn't such a famous actor. Something tells me the world would know who this man is one way or another.
You can find books of his work HERE.

Nothing is settled at work.

I hate my nephews mother.

One more week until we are on vacation.

That is all for now.

Boston Marathon

Marathon Pictures are up!
I'll be posting pictures from later that day into a separate set when I get the chance. Enjoy!

Swell Swollen Swellness.

Today sucked.
There is no nice or easy way to state that.

One of the many aspects of suckiness is that I woke up with what appears to be a bug bite of some sort on my face. It's on my right cheek. This morning it was about the size of a dime and now is about the size of a silver dollar. (Photos coming soon.)

This thing on my face is giving off it's own light and heat and burns like hell. I took it to the doctor (or perhaps it took me) and he too thinks it's a bug bite. Earlier today my whole right side of my face was swollen and hot, then my whole face turned red as if I had spent too much time in the sun.

The doctor prescribed hydrocortisone cream and it doesn't seem to be helping yet.

I am crankier than cranky right now.

My Poem About My Day

I am not a poet, but here goes... this was my day:

a long drive on a hot summers day,
in mom's '73 grand torino
after eating mcdonalds

like a roller coaster
up, down, up, down, vomit
the good, the bad, the ugly

A Pretty Good Weekend!

I had to work yesterday, but nothing tragic or eventful happened, then I made the Worlds Best Hamburgers for dinner and we watched Mirror Mask. What a great movie! I loved it!

Spent this afternoon cleaning my "desk area" in the studio. I say "desk area" because the mess had spilled out onto almost every available surface I was able to pile shit on and then onto the floor. A pile here, a pile there... I must admit, I had a bad case of piles.

But the piles are gone! They have been reduced to one small pile of crap I've been meaning to finish up for a while, as well as some LONG overdue Nervousness projects. My desk is gloriously neat and ready for me to get crackin' on stuff before school starts. Which reminds me...

If I owe you ANYTHING, said I would fix something, make something or otherwise do something for you and I haven't done it yet, NOW is the time to speak up. I have a list of shit to do and I am doing my darndest to get it done before school starts at the end of May. I know I won't succeed in getting it all done, but I will try my best. Just leave a comment or shoot me an email nudge (or slap) and I will try to set things straight.

Things I do not need reminding of and are already on the list are:
- Jack's Baby Quilt
- Baby Pictures for Mom
- Chips Necklace
- Nervousness projects
- Sorting Negatives

A Merry Christmas Indeed!

THIS brilliant piece of video reminds me of a certain someone I know...

Or maybe I just need to relax?

Am I alone in being really damn annoyed when someone ahead of me in the 12 items or less aisle at the supermarket has 15 items in their basket? Anyone with me on this one? Because it's really damn annoying.

Icky Weirdo of The Day!

No, not a new feature, just the title of this post. This fuck-nut was caught by Thao Nguyen on her cameraphone when he started masterbating on the subway in front of her in New York.

"In his account, the perpetrator is Nguyen, who misread his intentions (he claims he was already mid-masturbation when she stepped onto the train) and then humiliated him by posting his picture on the Web. He says he didn’t even realize he’d been photographed. “Even so, I wouldn’t imagine somebody throwing it up on the Internet for millions of people and destroying your life like that,” he says. “It’s one thing to take it to the police. But on the Internet, I read a lot of people saying, ‘That was not too cool of her. That was really screwed up.’ ”

The full article can be found HERE.
And another article can be seen HERE.

This icky, icky man has prompted a new use of technology... using technology as a weapon to fight back. Check out THIS SITE that posts just such photos.

Pictures from Saturday evening can be seen HERE.

Dubya Says the Darndest Things

"One of the great things about America, one of the beauties of our country, is that when we see a young, innocent child blown up by an IED, we cry. "
-- Dubya stakes solo ground for the U.S. that is shared by many. Beauty... Washington, D.C., Mar. 29, 2006

Uh-huh. We as great and beautiful people are sensitive enough to actually cry when we witness the death of a child in such a horrific manner. Makes ye want to just pat your beautiful self right on the back, eh?

You can find this frightening quote and many others like it HERE.

Knowing you will have fun toys soon? PRICELESS.

I just spent $3369.60 on camera equipment.
Yippeeeee!!!!!

Random Blathering

I don't seem to write much here anymore... now that I have the ability to post pictures in a big way I seem to let the pictures do the talking for me. No one comments much anymore either, but I know someone is out there checking this because my counter just keeps climbing up and up and up. I'm not sure who all of you are anymore, but thanks for stopping by!

So this is a small attempt at actually writing something... and frankly I am avoiding doing other more useful things around the house. I am avoiding getting ready for work. I am avoiding adult-type responsibilities. I am avoiding the world.

It's really nice sitting here in a semi-dark room in my bathrobe, sipping my morning glass of mountain dew. But when I think about all the things I should be doing... things that really need doing I get sort of bummed out. I should get off my ass and go do something.

Writing well isn't something that comes terribly easy to me, but I try. I have a personal, portable journal that is slowly getting filled. Perhaps I should mine that for something interesting to say here? That could be dangerous though... ;-)

So, here I am... writing away about nothing much. I should at least try to write something a little more interesting... something a little more meaty. I am not angry enough to write something interesting I guess, but the day is young. I bet I'll have something more interesting to say sooner or later... or at least a picture of it.

Wow... upon re-reading this post it sounds really morose. I'm not even pms-ing right now! Scary thing is I'm in a really good mood.
