Hellboy
We went to see Hellboy this afternoon with Alexi and I have to say it was a tad disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it was still beautifully shot and visually stunning but it just didn't hold together well. Guillermo del Toro is a visual wizard and I can't wait to see what he come up with for The Hobbit. It was also more love story than action flick... which is fine, but not what I was expecting. It was fun, but I'm not in a hurry to see it again. Now Batman on the other hand... Now there's some high expectations to fulfill. It better not suck.

David loves bad B-grade action flicks. Especially with cool effects.
He'll LOVE it.
I wouldn't call it B-grade... it was just too damn sappy. Granted, the first one was a tad sappy with the whole Liz thing and the relationship with his father... but this one went a little too far and the you can't stick a story together with sap.
Even better. He'll truly love it. He's seen the previews, and I was surprised that he showed interest. He normally doesn't care for fantasy/action stuff. He's more of a real-life action type.
The first one is coming on TV. We haven't seen it, so I'm taping it.
The first one is better than the second, which is often the case with sequels.
