Busy, Busy, Busy Little Bee
I make a To-Do list about once a month. This is a list of projects in addition to the daily stuff like laundry and homework. Around the end of the month I go over what got done and what needs to be added to the next months list. October was a pretty productive month.
But not productive enough. I have a backlog of stuff going back a long, long time. Recently with the help of Ron's amazingly sweet, super quilting Aunt Nancy I finished the quilt me and someone who shall remain nameless started for Jack before he was born. Jack will be 7 in January. A big old X got drawn through that one and boy did that feel good. Woot!
There are piles of half finished projects littering the floor in our studio. Creeping piles that breed and shit and morph into little monsters that feel bigger every time I look at them. The number of them is slowly shrinking though. I a slowly slaying these Pile Dragon's!
I have a backlog of personal photo projects that have fallen by the wayside... school stuff has taken priority lately, but with Portfolio Review right around the corner it's seriously time to start going through those personal photos looking for hidden gems. I am in the home stretch at school and it will be good to reclaim my evenings and spare time.
Unfortunately, with the end of school comes the return of me working full time. UGH. I am NOT looking forward to this. Not one bit. It will suck, though having the income to go with it will be refreshing. I am hoping it doesn't suck too badly... just enough suckage to get me off my ass and put that newly acquired photography knowledge to profitable use.
When I return to work full time I also return to my schedule of having every other Friday/Saturday off. My guaranteed free Fridays are numbered folks and they are filling up fast with these insane little projects of mine. Wanna see me during the day? Get in line folks! I need to have some fun in all this insanity!
My house is a mess. But that's really nothing new. Actually it's not as bad as it has been. One day off in a manic cleaning fit will set that right... unfortunately I can't plan those kind of days. And boy oh boy today ain't one of them.
And Christmas is coming. I hate Christmas. I hate the shopping, the madness, the shitty music, all of it. I am determined once again this year not to set foot in a mall and to do the bulk of my shopping online. I'm makin' a list and checking it twice folks. This is nothing new and I won't bore you with my holiday mental instability.
I think I am starting to feel overwhelmed again. Oh boy...
