Douchebag

Yesterday I was discussing the term Douchebag wth some co-workers and we concluded that this was New England bit of slang since none of us have ever heard it used outside the New England area.

Has anyone else ever heard or used this colorful phrase outside the New England area and were not describing the actual item?
