We're Back!

And glad of it!
It has been a long eleven days.

We didn't have internet access after the first three days so a long update is due, but it will have to wait until tomorrow.

To make a long story short the trip wasn't completely awful, but it wasn't good either. Everything we feared would happen pretty much did, including Ron's grandmother passing away while we were there.

We came so tantalizingly close to lots of beautiful things, yet did not have the time or inclination to appreciate them fully.

The food SUCKED. S-U-C-K-E-D. However, this is not because it was "Scottish" food, rather it was a very fancy, rich, heavy and unusual set of menus selected by the wife of the bishop who organized this tour and who apparently has an iron stomach. What happenes to the forms we filled out stating our food allergies when we registered for this trip? Who the fuck knows.

Okay, I am sensing I am beginning to rant and I want to write a proper entry about the trip with more than just the bad shit, plus I'm exhausted, so I'm going to go eat something and go to bed.

It's good to be home.
