Anthony Bourdain

I'm a little late on this one...
Did anyone catch the episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations last night? I meant to watch it, but I didn't get home from work until 10 and I was hungry... so I made a quick dinner of cheese hot dogs (YUM!) then we pretty much started winding down for the night.

Anywho... this is the show where he gets filmed pretty much eating his way around the world. He happened to be filming in Beirut when the shit hit the fan and sort of got stuck there. You can read his full article about it HERE. You can also visit his website HERE.

Last nights episode was touted as "the episode he didn't intend to make" It apparently wasn't about the food as much as it was about the destruction and chaos of the Israel/Lebanon conflict in its early days. I fully intended on watching it, and I'm bummed I missed it. If anyone taped or Tivoed it could you let me know because I would really like to see it. Maybe they'll repeat it.

I didn't really know much about him until a friend mentioned him on her blog, and I happend to find a link to and read the article mentioned above a few days earlier. I think I may have to read Kitchen Confidential now... or at least listen to the book on tape.
