It's time to play... GUESS THAT SMELL!
That's right folks, it's that time again!
Only this time you folks can play along too!
(I know, I know... too much excitement for one post.. get a hold of yourselves)
I have noticed a particular odor while driving through Framingham, Massachusetts. If you drive through the area containing Irving Street, Blandin Ave, Route 135 at Dennison Crossing, and the end of Arlington Street there is a foul stench in the air. I noticed it a few weeks ago and have since started rolling up the windows at this point of my daily commute. I only mention it now because my mom mentioned it to me on the phone this morning.
The smell can only be described as a decaying dead body that hasn't been found yet, with a healthy dose of rotting garbage. It's truly foul. My poor sister apparently suffered uncontrolable dry heaves upon smelling it so you have been warned.
I want to know what the hell it could be. I can't imagine anyone living near there putting up with that for very long. I wonder if anyone has called the Health Department? Or perhaps the newspaper would be better? Maybe there is a crazy cat lady in the neighborhood and the smell of her house is wafting through town? Maybe it has something to do with all the damn rain we've had lately? With the heat and humidity of a New England summer upon us I can't imagine this smell getting better anytime soon.
I know some of you folks live near, drive through or work near this area... have you noticed this smell? Am I crazy? I thought I was until my mom called. If it's still there Monday when I go to work I may call the Health Department myself.
