Oh, I SEE....

Yesterday was a long day.

Let me backtrack a bit on this one...
Last Thursday I called my eye doctor to make an appointment. I may or may not have complained about this particular eye doctors office before, but in either case it's probably been a while so let me refresh your memory. This place has the WORST reception staff on the planet. They make you wait 45 or more minutes in their waiting room, then usher you into an examination room to wait a further 45 or so minutes and then you aren't even guaranteed to see the doctor you have an appointment with... but that's another story.

Anywho... I decided to give them one last shot. One last chance to do right by me. Wouldn't you know it, they blew it.

Last Thursday, February 16th, I called to book an appointment. I told the receptionist that any Tuesday morning was fine. She said "How about 10am on Tuesday the 21st?" And I said "Great! I'll take it!" thinking how lucky I was to be getting an appointment less than a week away.

Yesterday I get up early, drive for an hour and dash into the office thinking I was running late, only to find that I did not actually have an appointment for that day. No, no, no... my appointment is on Tuesday MARCH 21st.

What the fuck?

I'm sorry, but wouldn't you think if you were calling on the 16th and the following Tuesday was the 21st that the receptionist would be talking about THAT TUESDAY? It just so happens that February and March have the same days, but excuse me, shouldn't she have been a little more clear?

I thought about cancelling the appointment right there and then. I decided that after chewing the receptionist out to chill out for a day or two before taking action. So there I was3 hours early for work. What to do, what to do....

So I went and explored 4 cemeteries!

I am still pissed as hell and I will be cancelling that appointment tomorrow. I also feel I should notify whoever is in charge of that office.
