Grrr...
Okay, I have discovered one ANNOYING thing about Blogger.
When you type a post and don't publish it right away they ask you to sign in again and you LOSE everything you had just written. My old blog did that, but it was always salvageable.
Let's try this again shall we?

....that's why they have the 'draft' feature. there's something else there, too. i just can't remember what the button is called.

Okay, why don't my posts show up?
Because, apparently, I have to change all this garbage that appears in the Name and Website fields.
Blogger has he draft feature, which has worked well for me.
